Again it's new
In this Capricorn new moon time let us take time to pause, listen, and hear all the things that are for us.  New moon time is a starting point to see yourself with clear vision, hear purpose and then set intentions that can be focused on for the entire lunar cycle (around 28.5 days).

Work of a Goat
Capricorn, a sign that is symbolized as the Goat, Mountain Goat, and even Sea Goat, opens the door for much work to be done.  In the time of Capricorn you can cleanse your body and surroundings or zero in your energy on your Karma and even work to set limits and keep them. That's right I said limits. These limitations talked about below are not the negative kind.

Sublime Saturn
This time of year that belongs to Capricorn is ultimately under the domain of Saturn. Yes Saturn, that planet known for it's legendary rings, always has an extra kick, just wait.  Saturn represents the quintessential teacher so learning will be jumping out at us in all shapes and forms this cycle, don't even trip over this reality.

My prescription
This cycle for me is about replenishment so that I may move forward. So in practical language that may mean, quiet days, journal entries, lucid dreaming, and even just wonderful stillness. I am not pulling my head into my shell but rather setting limits and keeping them because my gain is for my best good.  Work and life will be a challenge during this cycle, but each moment I get to enter my stillness I will take it, lap it up, and hope for lessons at every turn. I know I have what it takes, we will see :)!

Fullness ahead
Within a couple of days (July 1st) we will enter into full moon time. This time is right for checking in on intentions set during the new moon, but also it stands as a time to reflect on things to keep and discard before the rest of the lunar cycle continues.  Also know the most powerful time to do more ritualistic work is the three day period during the full moon (day before - day of - day after).

The first layer
This full moon peaks when the sign of Capricorn is reigning supreme in the skies and well, although this sign can be challenging it can also be a gateway to some of the largest leaps we will take.  Capricorn is a time to cleanse and purge things that no longer serve us. As well, we have the power at our beck and call to limit and even break habits that are counter productive in our lives.  Not to mention if you have some things to set straight with Karma, a Capricorn time is the best for results.

Now with all of this talk of Capricorn and its boons let's not forget that all of this is brought to you by the planet Saturn. More than just its rings, Saturn is energy and motion that is always about pushing us forward in this lifetime.  At its core Saturn seems to task us to know exactly who we are and when we do not it can seem to cause us to falter.  I disagree with this to a degree. I believe that the crux of what Saturn offers us is the ability to TRULY know where we come from (ancestral and familial), to TRULY know where we are at this very moment (the good and the bad), and to empower us to soar to heights that are both out of this world and the deepest within ourselves.  So this full moon time may make us cringe, but we will be better for it if we know how to take it and use it.

With all of this talk about knowing my focus this full moon is on my strengths, both physical and spiritual. Yes, I know some of what I am able to do, but I want to expand my understanding of just how much I am. In other words I am doing capacity recognition work on myself this full moon and absorbing all that I learn about myself in order to move from this point forth, tasked and stronger for having experienced this full moon

Alliteration aside.  There is much power upon us.  At approximately 10:24am this morning the moon went into fullness in Capricorn.  The really great news is that this full moon is considered a "Super Moon", meaning the moon is closer to us, appears to be larger and ultimately lays more lunar power at our feet.  Are you down to explore what more power can do? I am. We have hit that time of this Cancer lunar cycle known as Full Moon time and frankly it should be our peak.  Below are a set of questions to ask yourself during this time.  Just try them and be open to the answers. I am not suggesting you ask all of these at once, but at least take one or two to really think about over the next day or so.

This particular full moon is in Capricorn, the sign known for cleansing, limiting and most importantly karmic work.  But, all of these things are overshadowed by the ruling planet, fair Saturn.  Saturn, the ultimate Life Coach/ Teacher, gives us lessons in two ways: the easy way or the hard way (usually we choose unconsciously).  Let's try focusing on either or all of the following: getting ourselves together, ancestral connections, or the gateway to life and death.  So, yeah these are not the easiest things to think about, but they are some of the best things to focus on when Saturn reigns supreme.

So very close to making it
To bring this all home, I had a very "come to Goddess" moment with myself this afternoon while meditating for this blog post.  My focus this Super Full Moon is to get over the last hump with regards to true self acceptance. And I am not just talking about surface self acceptance, but rather that deeper, pervasive acceptance that says no matter what "I am okay" just as I am. This has been a battle most of my life but I am SO CLOSE to winning and I want to exert the extra power of the full moon to create that reality for myself.  And you? Take the affirmation below as a starting point.  Make the most of this magical full moon time.

Time to cut back in order to grow up!

Happy to be waxing
Been away taking time for myself, but I think it's befitting that this post, which speaks to the waxing moon time, follows a post that spoke about the waning moon time.  Waxing is one of my favorite concepts.  It's that upwardly mobile reaching of our goals.  We are not quite there, but we are so far from where we started, not to mention that the feeling can be exhilarating.

The lessons for us
This waxing phase is during the Capricorn time.  Capricorn, a sign often associated with leadership and grounded earthiness is also ruled by the archetypical teacher, Saturn.  Saturn pushes us to get work done, invest in our own legacies, and evaluate the lessons we need to learn or unlearn.  Not the most touchy, feely time, but a good time for doing personal work.  For that, we can all be thankful.

It's Spring again, well almost
Now, back to why I am ga-ga over this waxing moon time.  Well first when the moon is waxing is represents basically the Springtime of the entire cycle and we all know how gloriously invigorating and motivating Spring can be, true?  So combine that with the generally expansive and nurturing energy we can all harvest right now and what we have is an equation for success in the lives of all of us.  Waxing moon time affords us all a shot of goodness that we can use to manifest almost immediate results.  Those of us from that instant gratification era will appreciate this.

Open to more and more
My personal energies will be on increasing my acceptance of the abundance that is for me.  Abundance in the physical, spiritual, financial, creative, and psychic realms.  There is so much more for me and I now know that any blockages have been of my own making.  Although I am upon the full moon taking this time to be fixated on expanding my capacity to receive the abundance that is available to me is such a great step.  For all of you who may know me, new things are on my horizon and for that I am grateful.

The last lunar cycle this year

Now we are about to say bye
Today around 2:44pm EST the moon takes it's step into Capricorn and that my friends is our final Lunar Cycle for this Lunar Year.  I know it seems like yesterday that we welcomed in this Dragon Year (as called in the Chinese Zodiac), but alas we will journey forward.  The significance of this last lunar cycle can be huge for us, if we let it.

At the end a time for.....
This 13th lunation of the moon represents in some sense a culminating and benchmark of our progress over the last 12 months.  More than a usual check in, let's really assess our true steps on our path and see the progress and the lessons that are still to be learned.  For me I think of words like reflect, release, acknowledge, balance, appreciate, discard, uphold, reinforce, and lastly know.

Time for teaching
And speaking of lessons, this last cycle is in Capricorn, which is ruled by none other than Saturn, the ultimate representation teacher.  Saturn is all about giving us all of what we need and a bit of what we want, so be not discouraged if we are reworking, rerouting or detouring, it's all a part of the education of us.

See what I've received
For me this last lunar cycle of this year is really about amalgamation of the gifts, blessings, progress, lessons, and understandings I have received thus far.  And really, it's about me recognizing the strides I have made with regard to accepting.  My balance of give and receive was so off not that long ago and then my ancestresses spoke to me and told me that this was not their wish for me.  Well after I picked myself off the ground from the emotional falling apart I realized, hey, my spirits love me enough to tell me, you've got things to do and being a prisoner of your own resistance will not do.  So this past lunar year has been a real testament to me listening, being silent, practicing obedience and really just flowing.  Gotta say, it feels good y'all.

Learning from the inside out

What time is it?
If you are just starting to get worn down by those waxing moon days, you are in luck, new energy time.  This time a Full Moon, yup, its the midpoint already.  I know, where does the time go, right?  The full moon hit not quite twenty four hours ago and I know I felt it.  Full moon is such a magical time, let me lay out for us all.

See outside of you
This is peak time for the moon's energy to work for us, through us, and with us.  During full moon we are working our intentions, actions, and reach to interact with those people and things outside of ourselves that are a part of our cycle work.  Now, since the moon reached fullness in the sign of Capricorn that just means we have Fair Teacher Saturn to look to for guidance, answers, and navigational positioning.

Lessons taught are lessons learned
Yes, Saturn is the teacher and for some of us that it may be a mixed bag, but I have found over the years that getting a nod from Saturn is an ultimate blessing, even if I don't feel like that at first.  Got lessons you need to get right this time, call on Saturn.  Want to finally get some long put off task done, call on Saturn.  Need to pull yourself together from that mess that is currently your life, take that to Saturn as well.  The benevolence that Saturn provides is that he is willing to teach us the hard lessons in order for us to eventually progress, don't know about you, but I am glad for the hard lessons, it always reminds me that I am moving forward.  If this kind of challenge is not your speed, go out on a limb this full moon time and learn that hard lesson, I bet it will be totally worth it for you in the future.

Shift it because I can
For me this Full Moon deals with my ability to shape-shift my whole trajectory.  Now, don't think for a minute that I don't have the same limitations as you, I do.  I am getting better at focusing and also seeing the warning signs on the road, but I too have to keep on my path, just as you do.  I have totally embraced there is no "Final Destination Has Been Reached" sign, but rather "Good Path Walking" signs along the way.  So, I am dropping any self lies I have told myself about myself and scooping up and digesting the inner truths of who I am and just what I am capable of---GREATNESS!!!

Aim high these days, you will be surprised that which you can accomplish just by thinking it.  Now yes, there are domains listed below that benefit work at the Full Moon, but do not be limited by that, there is no one-size-fits-all work that can or should be done now.  And really, that thing you think you are not ready to tackle is exactly what you should be working on. That's right, I heard you thinking of that, it's not my magic, I come to that spot myself, that's how I know.

Well as we all wake this morning, we should sort of be aware of some things on this a truly AUSPICIOUS day.

Where are we?
First, in our Aries Lunar Cycle we are in a waning phase.  Meaning, this is the most appropriate time to discard that which is just not for you anymore.  That's right, toss it away, let it go, give it walking papers!  Secondly, the moon right now, at this very moment is in Capricorn, a sign so strongly connected to Saturn and the Teacher-Student relationship we have with our lives.  Again, use this time to self teach, self correct, and learn.  Really we don't have to make the same mistakes twice, we choose that road.

The Dragon that we rode in on
Lastly and most importantly, today April 13, 2012 is a Triple Dragon Day! What is that you may ask, well the 13th is a Dragon day, April is a Dragon month, and 2012 is a Dragon year.  What exactly does that mean? It means this...we all have triple the impact of the energy we can use, we have triple the impact of the connection we carry to each other and ancestors, and we have triple the impact of the great things we can conjure into being today.  Can you feel my excitement? I am overjoyed we have one day to really knock many things out the box.

So we have all of this information, now what you ask? Well my strongest intuition is telling me to mark this day not only with a ritual of some sort, but just be open.  Open to lessons, open to change, open to the goodness that has possibly been waiting on the sidelines of our lives for a moment such as this.

Seeing what I can not see
My personal goal today is to accept wholeheartedly the shifts and altering that life is gifting to me.  There is greatness in change for me and I will use it and go to heights I have never seen before.  Today I am challenging my sight to see way beyond what is visible through my eyes.  Tall challenge, but one I know I can surmount with all of the Dragoness around me!

Yet another Lunar Cycle is here

Ahhhhh! Just when we possibly thought we could not take another moment of the last lunar cycle (that was in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter), we get a reprieve, the next lunar cycle.  This cycle presses its energy out as the moon floats on into Capricorn, the sign that is ruled by Saturn.

Seeing ourselves through Saturn

The lessons from Saturn are often so important to us, but they are also some of the most difficult to process.  We can think of Saturn and the lessons it has for us as that high school teacher everyone dreaded having, but you knew you had to in order to graduate.  And true to form once you entered into the class and dropped your preconceived notions you realized the teacher was engaging, informative, and quite comical.

So, now Saturn is here beckoning us to dance.  Dance our personal dances, dance our evolutionary dances, dance our beautiful dances.  Now this dance will not be the usual two-step or even a partner dance.  This dance is our personal dances, those movements, turns, dips, and swirls they are imperative if we are to learn those lessons we can be gifted with when Saturn takes center stage.

I shall dance regardless

My personal dance this lunar cycle is to seek and find the joy in all that I do.  Whether I am riding high on love and good feeling or seeping low in an obstacle or challenge, JOY is mine if I choose to seek it.  And seeking it is just what I'm gonna do this cycle.  So, you all are here to keep me on this joyous choreographed path.

Welcome to the culmination of what has been an amazing surge of energy, power, and lessons learned. And what better closer of this cycle than the ever instructive sign of Capricorn, ruled by that surreal Saturn, the teacher of all teachers. The waning moon phase can be marked by many perspectives, but I choose to look at the waning moon as the last gift the universe is granting us. Didn’t get it the first three segments, well here....take this...and be pleasantly surprised, mystified, and overjoyed. Closings of cycles are the best time to show gratitude, because guess what, I made it, you made it, we all made it. And...guess what else....we are beginning the journey again. Aren’t we just the most charged individuals on the planet, at this moment?

So...as Mother Moon contracts, think if this as the laboring period of this cycle and what lays ahead is the birth of a new us. Laboring in a Capricorn state allows some extra gifts, like a time to work on righting things in our lives through karma, cleansing, and perhaps breaking negative chains, but this sign is motivated by the great planet Saturn, who is a world all unto its self. Go on ahead with our bad selves. We are doing it because of the challenges, obstacles, and difficulties we have. Be okay with not getting it right, but rather getting it.

My focus this final phase will be to break old habits. Gone is the young girl unsure of what she knows. Here to say in the Goddess Woman-type who is bent on being exactly who she is to be in this lifetime, which means I can not, will not, and should not hold onto things that are of no use to me. Will I succeed at this? Yes! Will there be deviations of the path that I think now? Yes, most certainly! Am I infectious enough to spread this around? I sure believe so!!!

How interesting this calendar year comes to a close with the same sign, Capricorn. As I looked back over these last 12 lunar cycles, I realized that it was Capricorn that was our initial lunar cycle back in January. We are sooooo special that the universe provided us with a chance to see things in a Saturnian way twice, in this year!! Wow...is all I can say. So yes, we can take this opportunity to traditionally look at this closing of the 2008 calendar or we can choose this as a midpoint, a station break, an assessment point. Capricorn in all of its glory is a Saturn ruled planet, so somewhere at the base of all of this is simply, LESSONS. Yes, as if we need more of those. But, here is a take on that.

We are so astute, so revered, so gifted that our learning curve, spiritually, has jumped up a notch on us. As we flow with the growing new moon, see each detour, each rewrite, each do-over as the infinite love of the universe pouring itself into our lives. Now yes, that might seem all touchy feely, but Capricorn being an earth sign, where is the practicality off all of this? Do the removals, cleansings, breaks, and magic that is necessary to really, truly benefit at our maximum levels. Again, I say, our maximum levels, which undoubtedly will be different than someone else’s.

My focus this cycle will be on transmutation of many things I have inherited, but no longer have to carry. I seek to recognize these traits, understand the etiology of them, but no longer feel obligated to uphold them. As a part of this intention I know that this will break patterns that have been a strong part of my life, up until now. As one who carries serpent energy, transmutation is just a matter of concentration for me.

We have arrived once again to that magnificent, budding, spring of the lunar cycle. That’s right we are within the Waxing Phase. This time is full of windows and doors that both represent opportunities for us. As we do in early spring, step out into the somewhat misty dew and breath in full breaths, then proceed into this cycle, fully charged, fully aware and ready to receive.

As we are meander through this Libra led cycle let us stop to smell from the blossom of Capricorn and its ruler Saturn. Yes, the wise teacher has returned to bestow upon us another amazing lesson. Pay attention to the role we all play as teacher and student, knowing that each role is forever fused into us. As a teacher we can always learn from those we teach. And, as a student we have lessons for our teachers. This cyclical understanding makes for a more complete life experience.

My focus has been on understanding the meaning and totality of attraction, so during this cycle I want recognize and rectify any outstanding patterns whether they be of my own doing or something that may be a part of my ancestral blueprint. I challenge myself to pull unto me the true lessons that I need to move forward.

This present cycle in Capricorn will be filled with lessons. Old lessons, new lessons, untangling of lessons and previews of lessons yet to come. Most importantly, our relationship with time will definitely take a front seat during this lunation. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is sometimes that teacher we need to learn from and we just can’t, quite stand the methods, but the highs and lows are good learning experiences for us. As we enter this cycle in the New Moon Phase rest, relax, and reflect. Be sure to think of things, people, or situations you may need to purge as you prepare for a definite renewal that will come from Father Time.

For those who have entered this new year full of expectations, I say to you instead of the same old resolutions, really search for the lessons there are for you this year and serenely and quietly accept them, knowing on the other side is so much beauty, freedom and knowledge. Take it from someone who knows a little about putting on my track shoes and bringing all of my isms with me. Make peace with time and realize understanding comes just when it is supposed to, not before, not after. Seek to connect to lessons from your past and the past of your ancestors, inherited pain, weaknesses and sorrow. They all can be transmuted into something amazing.

My concentration during this Lunar Cycle will be on my understanding and acceptance of time. Yes, I can intellectually and spiritually know all things in good time, but to put that in everyday practice is another story. So, if there are those of you out there, like me, yeah, Time is a concept that keeps on evolving, moment by moment.

Yes there will be the burgeoning call of Mercury in Retrograde during this cycle, just prepare for it. Know it will come, do not doubt its power, but also do not fear it. Take the time you are given to just BE.
