We have arrived once again to that magnificent, budding, spring of the lunar cycle. That’s right we are within the Waxing Phase. This time is full of windows and doors that both represent opportunities for us. As we do in early spring, step out into the somewhat misty dew and breath in full breaths, then proceed into this cycle, fully charged, fully aware and ready to receive.

As we are meander through this Libra led cycle let us stop to smell from the blossom of Capricorn and its ruler Saturn. Yes, the wise teacher has returned to bestow upon us another amazing lesson. Pay attention to the role we all play as teacher and student, knowing that each role is forever fused into us. As a teacher we can always learn from those we teach. And, as a student we have lessons for our teachers. This cyclical understanding makes for a more complete life experience.

My focus has been on understanding the meaning and totality of attraction, so during this cycle I want recognize and rectify any outstanding patterns whether they be of my own doing or something that may be a part of my ancestral blueprint. I challenge myself to pull unto me the true lessons that I need to move forward.

This seemingly quiet Full Moon is a pivotal time, whether we can see that or not, JUST KNOW IT. In these silences are such power, growth and development. Spoken like someone truly in the mist of all three of these factors. So, as we flow through our emotionally charged Cancer lunar cycle, we float towards the always beneficial sign of Capricorn during this full moon. Capricorn of course is a time to work on righting things in our lives through karma, cleansing, and perhaps breaking negative chains, but this sign is motivated by the great planet Saturn, who is a world all unto its self.

Saturn, our most devoted teacher stresses, efficient/productive work in our lives, no b.s.ing. At this time things that need to be reigned in should be. Since Saturn is a time of teaching and learning, of course life lessons come right on in and take center stage in our lives. Listen, look, and learn them, cause honie chile if you don’t, you will be sure to see them again. Ask during this full moon time for revelations of those patterns/lessons that once turned around will propel you on to the next phase of who you are.

Personally, I made a commitment to be an “understander” of my cycle/rhythms during this lunar cycle, so at this full moon, yes, I ask for those patterns I find myself in time and time again to be brought right to my face and triumphed over. And like I can even deny them. All messages are pointing to these patterns from the insects I see, to cards I pull, to dreams I have, so I am thankful to have the ability to see them. Now, I must take up that courage that is so much a part of me (even when I feel vulnerable and exposed) and usher myself forward, right where I belong, only remembering this pattern circling as a faint dream. Shew!! Long winded, wasn’t expecting that, but yall know what it’s like when you get that epiphany.

Mystery of the Mooning of the Moon

Well, another dawning of Mother Moon. Nothing but blessings are in store. This Cancer Lunar Cycle is a place of magic, mystery, and medicine. Look to this almost mid point in our lunar year as a gift from the Moon. That’s right there are just times in our lives when we are given boons, opportunities, and prosperity, just because. Now, this doesn’t mean that there won’t be work involved, but if any of you had the last lunar cycle like I had, work is something I am not afraid of. Focus on uplifting, reaching, attaining all those things that up until now, you may just have been apprehensive to try. Go on...you got this and whatever you don’t have, guess who is right there behind you supporting you, THE MOON.

Now the reason I keep sending it back to the Moon is because capricious Cancer is ruled by not a planet, but rather the Moon. So yes, this lunar cycle the Moon will be dripping her divinely fabulous power upon us, if we are ready and waiting to accept. Cancer is a time for love, tenacity, and that emotive side of ourselves we try to hide. Be open, leap, head first, into a time when great strides can be made at becoming the evolved self that is waiting to take center stage in our lives.

My personal focus this cycle will be assimilating the cycles and rhythms that are me and the universe into my every moment's practice. Not just sort of recognizing something AFTER THE FACT, but rather walking right into a place knowing its a part of the cycle that is me. This way I empower myself to see beyond things that are occurring, not stopping on my journey for pieces that are necessary to the puzzle’s completing.

New Beginnings

Begin at the beginning, go on to the middle and then continue to the end. Seemingly easy steps, right, but inside this Mars ruled cycle, by now, for most of us, things have turned upside down. Well, this Waxing time can be that beginning, AGAIN. That is the beauty of life, each day is a new one and we are challenged to live it. So, let’s be about the business of living. We burst onto this warrior cycle strong and empowered, now there have been obstacles, but know they serve a purpose, mainly to test if we believe what we know (I suspect).

This particular waxing cycle is a time to plant those seeds we want to harvest before the next lunar cycle, so focus on a big, little, or continuous situation, anything that you want to begin again. I once read that humans are the only animals that continue to punish themselves for things over and over again. Learn to recognize that things gone wrong are a lesson that if not in our paths would hinder us from growing, progressing, and evolving. I know, a tall order when life is throwing a curve ball very fast at you and you don’t even have a bat.

So, be thankful during this waxing time when the moon in cancer, which is ruled by the moon. Pull her on ever nurturing, ever loving energy. Not to mention, hey we are warriors, and sometimes, no most times, the biggest battle we will ever encounter, is ourselves. Work on some of the following things that the Moon can affect,

Pssssssst......Read what spring has whispered in my ear

This full moon has already showed it’s head to be a time when emphasis should be on those hidden things you just... can’t... quite grasp. The dawning of the moon’s fullness and the season change intersecting, is not an accident or a game. Use the natural earth energy that exists in this time of change to really just let go and do the things you always wanted to, but were afraid to. Throw yourself back fearlessly, knowing that spirit is the ultimate catcher. Yes, its spring, everything looks new, fresh, go on out, intake all that is there with every one of your senses. You there with me, in the beauty of lighter colors and warmer nights, well, remember we are still in that depth pushing cycle of Pisces, so, know that with all of this new-ness and sunshine, watch out for things that you may be trying to suppress, they might have a way of popping up on ya, because Pisces is just like that.

This full moon my focus will be attraction and not the connotative version, but rather that more intentional portion of attraction, you know where we bring (attract) what it is we may see as ourselves or further yet what it is we may need at the time. How do I consciously or unconsciously attract things, people, and events into my life and why? I know big questions, but there are answers, why else the question? A message I got from meditation that might be helpful is that we can heal more when we first sure up ourselves (making sure we ourselves are healed) then ask for more in order to give more. Hope that makes sense. My asking the bigger, more challenging questions, puts me on a different path than before, one that will allow me more healing, more understanding and eventually more assisting. This full moon is in Libra (Venus ruled), a very balanced and fair sign, full of order and harmony. Call upon that harmony when those murky waters run to close for comfort, but trudge forward anyway, knowing whatever is on the other side is a benefit in some shape or form.

Pisces Lunar Cycle, Planet-Neptune

Well I must admit, that I have been resistant. Plain and simple, resistance. But I have also been complicit, knowing that my time for this entry would come and when it did I would open myself to share. The real deal has been I have been in my head a little too much these days, call it waking from my winter’s slumber, call it anstyness, but I was actually thinking of looking that gift horse right in her mouth. But, thankfully, the universe speaks my language loud and clear. When a reader of the blog tried to extort me for the information, I figured, okay, acquiesce, be the connector you are. In short, I began to feel like maybe this blog was not the best venue for sharing this information, trust, I too question.

So, what we have is a Pisces cycle we are steeped in, ruled by the great planet Neptune and he is no joke. I have felt it, don’t know about you, probably why I my time has been altered. I recently referred to this Neptunian time as an intense calmness. Even though things may or may not be in the place you want them, allow yourself to disconnect from the emotion and see what the lessons are for ya. To me, Neptune is like the floor of the ocean, a great secret that is full of gifts, but also such an mystery, that just contemplating going there can bring up great fear and apprehension. I suggest you take the voyage to the deep waters, be sure to have the proper diving gear and just watch, action is not called for right now, but openness is required. ...Let the Sun Shine in....on the Fullness of the Moon

The Full Moon is the time to check in on your progress during the lunar cycle. Are you upholding those quests you set out upon, earlier this cycle? Do you need to alter a few things? Ask yourself the real, meaningful questions now. As this full moon dawns upon us, know there is always time. Time to assess, time to alleviate things that aren't working, and ultimately time to ascend to that higher self we all have inside.

So, this particular moon phase I have chosen to give you more information on the Sun, the ruler of Leo, since we recently had Leo’s lessons just a few short weeks ago. The Sun, so bright, so warming, always allows light to shine on everything. The Sun, which is a manifestation of masculine energy is strength, personified. For me, the Sun has always been a welcomed addition to any day. Particularly now, when I am living in a place where there is little sunlight this time of year, I have developed an even greater appreciation for the spiritual and physical light that is the Sun. Do not take this magnificent entity for granted, because just when you think it will be there, it may not.

My own work with the Sun during this full moon time is around, love and time, yes what a gargantuan, yet surmountable series of concepts. Well, if I truly want to understand time in a new way I must be willing to go no holds barred. And yes, the brightness of the sun may reveal not so rosy realities, but as fast as I see it, the Sun’s powerful rays can transform it with its light. Go the distance, use the light to truly see things as they should be seen.

This waxing phase is considered the Springtime of the lunar cycle. As in spring, plant what you want, even things that bloom in a short time. We are on our way to the Full Moon ahead, but focus on now, see what things are in store for you just around this corner. This waxing moon is in Pisces a sign known sometimes as the Old Man or even the Cosmic One, the possibility to be all that we are collectively. Use this flowering, blossoming, budding, spring to go deeper into who you are and why, because you must.

And of course Pisces is ruled by Neptune, a great assistant for those inner journeys, those dark waters, those long distance excavations. Fear not the darker places, just know that whatever light you will need will be provided, then just simply put one foot in front of the other and step, each foot at a time, no hurrying.

Capricorn Lunar Cycle

This present cycle in Capricorn will be filled with lessons. Old lessons, new lessons, untangling of lessons and previews of lessons yet to come. Most importantly, our relationship with time will definitely take a front seat during this lunation. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is sometimes that teacher we need to learn from and we just can’t, quite stand the methods, but the highs and lows are good learning experiences for us. As we enter this cycle in the New Moon Phase rest, relax, and reflect. Be sure to think of things, people, or situations you may need to purge as you prepare for a definite renewal that will come from Father Time.

For those who have entered this new year full of expectations, I say to you instead of the same old resolutions, really search for the lessons there are for you this year and serenely and quietly accept them, knowing on the other side is so much beauty, freedom and knowledge. Take it from someone who knows a little about putting on my track shoes and bringing all of my isms with me. Make peace with time and realize understanding comes just when it is supposed to, not before, not after. Seek to connect to lessons from your past and the past of your ancestors, inherited pain, weaknesses and sorrow. They all can be transmuted into something amazing.

My concentration during this Lunar Cycle will be on my understanding and acceptance of time. Yes, I can intellectually and spiritually know all things in good time, but to put that in everyday practice is another story. So, if there are those of you out there, like me, yeah, Time is a concept that keeps on evolving, moment by moment.

Yes there will be the burgeoning call of Mercury in Retrograde during this cycle, just prepare for it. Know it will come, do not doubt its power, but also do not fear it. Take the time you are given to just BE.

Mercury's Retrogrades 2008

well a few folks have brought up if retrograde is here, no, but its coming. guess folks are developing that retrograde sense.

the planet mercury will go into a retrograde period usually three times a year, when this happens, all forms of communication are off kilter. to say the least. snail mail, email, cell fone, home fone, speaking to others, speaking to yourself, and don't even think of signing a contract or wonder why negotiations are not going well. we can not put life off during the retrogrades, but forewarning will help ya navigate through it.

and to make it more interesting the first retrograde falls as the one lunar year ends and another begins. oh joy! i have learned to get these times by understanding what it means and not becoming frustrated or irate when communication of any kind is, well, just plain WRONG!!!
