Just a beginning
In just a few hours (6:42am EST) the moon will enter a new lunation and yet again we will have all the opportunities in the world. The next 28.5 days present themselves to us like a gift from on high. What we do with those precious moments are completely up to us.

Just a sign
The next lunar cycle will be in the sign of Scorpio. This sign so often trivialized to heightened sexuality and strong passions has other great things to offer. Namely embracing the subtleties of life (something I am truly working to master), completing severance that is necessary to move forward, and journeying homeward to find a better understanding of self. By far the greatest thing Scorpio offers us is the opportunity to go deeper into the powers of Pluto, it's ruling planet.

Just a planet
Pluto's greatest offering to us is the ability to overcome almost anything. Be it death, disappointment, feeling cheated, or a downward spiral Pluto always presents the next new beginning. Although there are other signs that represent newness, none quite in the way Pluto does. Simply stated anything that occurs in your life can be reset. All we must do is know and properly utilize the energy Pluto holds. If you've had a threshold that has been alluding you think about making a step over it during this lunar cycle. Obstacles are made to be overcome.

Just a lens
My focus this lunar cycle is to have more personal recognition and awareness of the successes that surround me. Mine and other folk. During this lunar cycle I am practicing my Half Full lens in as many situations as I can. Pluto tells me that although things must die, they are only setting the stage for other things to come through next. For me it's really basic, in order for more to be available I must at this moment have nothing but gratitude for where I am.

Just my wants
The ball is totally in our courts. I say to you, be intentional and make magic for you and others around you this Scorpio cycle. Yes, we will be near family and friends this holiday season, but that's okay because as long as we have focus about what's important to us then what others say or do should not sway us or lead us astray. Take time in the next two days to really think about what it is you want from the Scorpio lunar cycle. Write it down, say it out loud to yourself, and even feel free to discuss it wth others. Two at once
The spiritual "Wade in the Water" could not be more appropriate.  The constellations have been moving and flowing for us this very morning.  At approximately 7:46am we were graced with the presence of a Solar Eclipse and then at 7:49am the New Moon cycle began and all of this occurred in the sign of Scorpio.

A rare event
So now let's do a bit of deciphering and figuring.  The Solar Eclipse that occurred was a hybrid one, meaning it started out as an eclipse that made a ring for us to see but then transitioned into a full eclipse, making it a very rare event and the energy that an occurrence such as this presents is even more rare and special.  So let's get out ducks in a row. 

An eclipse defined
Overall Eclipse energy is stronger because it is alignment of three celestial bodies that affect us: the Sun, the Moon and the Earth.  The Solar Eclipse means the Moon is lined in between the Earth and the Sun.  An important property of a Solar Eclipse is it really can transform our material circumstances, such things as abundance, self identity, housing, employment, etc.  In order words all things that are focused outside ourselves.  Please note Eclipses always travel in pairs so this Solar one is the second part to the Lunar that occurred just a few weeks ago.

Where things dawn
Now, having said that large mouthful, the Eclipse and the New Moon all have occurred when the sign of Scorpio reigns in the sky and the planetary ruler of this sign is none other than Pluto.  Far from an amorphous Disney character, Pluto is the ultimate symbol of transformation.  Words such as transmutation, life-death-rebirth and other phoenix like terms are all attributed to the powerful Pluto.

Set the intention
This New Moon is such a blessing for we have a bona fide vortex of power and deep diving into the self.  So when planning what, how or where you will focus your energy this cycle I highly suggest you do as I intend to, Wading Deep in my personal Waters.  Yes, somehow I did bring it back to that spiritual, LOL.  Finding your focus may take a few days, that's okay, just be sure you are open to hearing what it is supposed to be, not what you thought it was gonna be, I know I must constantly be vigilant with myself about that difference.

Healing and creativity
Personally I have to dive deep into my ability to self heal and pull out not only my physical health but also my creative health.  I have, for the second half of this calendar year, felt a bit dampened when it comes to creativity for me.  So back to the self I go.  I know there are answers for me and I am prepared to unearth some not so comfortable emotions to get to the heart of the understanding that is for me.  So be it!  I know that this is one of the best times of year to actually touch my truths so honestly and effortlessly and for that I am grateful, hope you are too!

If today has been twitchy, frenetic, and full of energy, it's not just your mind, there is a reason.  Today is one of those rarer than rare days when we have not only a Full Moon (in Scorpio), but right after that a Lunar Eclipse, so big waves of motion, life, and movement is probably afoot.

From the moment I awoke this morning til right now I have been over excited, moving at the speed of light (both inside and out), and just basically stoked.  Full Moon time is always a time to innervate - to supply with nerves is the definition of that word, how appropriate-and it has set up as such a natural midpoint in our lunar cycle.  So check in on those intentions set forth just two weeks ago or so.  Be bold and give yourself a grade on how you've done. 

This particular Scorpio Full Moon very well may bring to mind thoughts of self journeying, sexuality or even creativity, but as always we do ourselves so much better to understand that behind the Scorpion is the planetary ruler, Pluto.  Not necessarily one to play with.  Pluto at times seemingly harsh or acute with change does have an overall goal, our eventual evolution.  A pop culture icon of Pluto's gift is "Dr Who" - the hit Sci Fi show from the UK.  Regeneration is heard over and over again throughout the series when the face of the lead character changes, but what exactly can that mean for us here and now. 

I propose we see Pluto as the bearer of not just the normal life-death-rebirth cycle, but rather the higher vibrated life-death-stronger life concept.  So, as hard as things may feel right now, all the work we are doing is setting us up for boons beyond our imagination.  All of this sounds all wonderful, now comes the work.  And that work starts with just a thought, an idea, a first step, a determination.  I am not saying you have to figure it all out right now, but you may want to grab hold of this Plutoian dust to stabilize for what is to come.  I believe knowing I can make it through an obstacle motivates me just as much as getting over that obstacle.

Push, pull, and prodding from Pluto

Often times I am quite amazed at how things turn out, you see I sometimes have my own ideas and then the universe takes over and what is to be occurs.  This blog post is testament to just that fact.  Already into this Scorpio Lunar Cycle I am being pushed to design new paradigms, something that at times can be quite difficult.  Out of the New Moon time the moon is Waxing which means this is perfect the time to build towards short term goals or objectives.  This Scorpion time can be flowered with thoughts of subtlety, severance, and a desire to journey towards the true self.  Hold tight to those thoughts, they are significant, but more prevalent and overriding is the Pluto energy that rules the sign of Scorpio.

Yes, it is that time again to think of rebirth and times of complete alteration.  Now do any of us really want to dwell on these concepts? Maybe not, but I tell you what when these come into play in our lives and we do nothing, only chaos and turmoil follow.  Bad decisions, hurt feelings, lost energy, and all around ickiness will abound.  Basically, at this point we are either moving closer or farther away from our actualized selves and only we each know which way the weather vane is blowing.  Our days and nights may be cooler, but it is my wish that all of us are warming to the idea of moving towards who we really are.  Guess what, either we do or we don't, it's simply up to us.  Now for each of us these changes will be different, some may be large and others may happen in that still, quiet, inner place, regardless it all represents our conscious effort to evolve.

For me this Scorpio Cycle has been about achieving, measuring, and maintaining the balance I need in my life.  So my short term goal is to continue with that.  What I am trying to do is pay closer attention to the signs earlier in the game and intercepting possible snags or setbacks.  I am sure there is more to come but with conscious effort I can surely transform and rebirth the way I understand and balance's relevance to my personal evolution.  As lofty as these all sound trust and believe I get it right sometimes and wrong other times, but one thing is for sure, I am quickly becoming my biggest cheerleader and my compassion for self is ever expanding my humanity.  Okay this was so much more than I thought I would share, but you know how it is once you get started.

This path of darkness is really lightness

I woke up this morning around 4am and try as I might, I could not get back to sleep. So, what did I do, I sat before my altar and heard these messages that I am typing at this very moment. Sometimes spirit is just that direct, glad I am listening and being obedient. This morning let us venture onto the path of the new moon that will peak in Scorpio, a Pluto ruled sign, in a few hours. Pluto represents many things for many people, but most of all Pluto stands as a reminder that yes, we can change. Now will that change be easy as apple pie, ahhhh NO! Will that change come through like a bright shining sunny day, well maybe but not at first. And lastly, will change always give a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, definitely not. For me Pluto means change is on my horizon, but it will cost and Pluto really tests me to see how much am I going to pay. Know what I say to that? I am worthy of paying a big price for transmutation and true life change.

So if I have spelled it out right we are on a hard edged place, but a place that is nonetheless available to us. Think of it this way, what great souls we must be in order that we are given these challenges, obstacles, barriers, and ultimately accomplishments. Our ability to surpass the darkness of ourselves leads to light unimaginable. So, I step forward and I hope you all step forward with me. Easiness may not be our friend at first, but we have a whole lunar cycle to get what we need so time is there for us. As the mountain flowers bloom in the winter, so shall we, but first we must undergo our deepest dive into ourselves. 1, 2, 3 DIVE!

As always my journey with you all is one I can take gladly because you all are with me. This lunar cycle I will pull on the Pluto energy, in particular, to be still in the darkness & stay longer than maybe I have in the past. And when I say darkness I truly just mean the unknown-the unknown environment, the unknown understanding, the unknown me. I have had many quick glances of my unknown self, now I want to know more.

The crowing of a Rebirth

Well as we are already into this Scorpio Lunar Cycle, I have been totally compelled to share. Even if I did not want to, the spirit guides have urged that I do so. And we all know when they urge, resistance is a waste of time. So welcome everyone to the time of the scorpion and more importantly, Pluto, a planet I feel is often feared.

Pluto to me represents that rebirth time. That uncomfortable and sometimes painful time when we must depart of the old self and strive forward to that new self. And really, Pluto does it, whether we like it or not. There is a total cleansing/resetting cycle that happens when Pluto takes center stage. To run and hide or even deny is a waste of our energies. Know that the rebirth is coming and ground your self and prepare for it. Even with Pluto's somewhat dark undertones, know that the dimmer environment is also a plus.

So, do we all need this at this moment? Yes! Are we going to be jumping for joy to grow and expand? Maybe not, however knowing that this is where we are currently is worth its weight in gold. Really take stock of what is rebirthing it's self in your life, then quiet your life and midwife the entire experience, whether you be man or woman.

Personally, I am being challenged now in all facets of my life and the beautiful thing is these experiences (although they can prompt me to squirm) are morphing me right into the posture I must assume in order to truly rebirth. There is no choice, if I can read the writing on the wall, all is as it should be now so that soon all will be as it will be.

This full moon time in Scorpio should feel strong, vibrant, and full of energy. Now the kind of energy that may be surging is totally up to each one of us. Think of the full moon as a midpoint yes, but also a time of quiet constitution building. The colors of her lunar energy are strong and potent and often times we allow that excess of energy to thrust us into egoic and emotion driven fits of passion, pleasure, anger, jealousy, and the like, but I propose, we feel the great surge and breathe in its power to savor it for a time when we feel we have nothing left. It is then that we can benefit from this reserve of power we have built. Construct change, maybe, but things are different only when we say they are different, so say it's different and it is.

Now, I also want to recognize the Gemini sign that this Full Moon falls in, a sign that is quite dichotomous in nature. The surprise of never knowing which side of Gemini is the negative, but also the positive. There is balance to be made this Full Moon, let us grant it to ourselves. And please make no mistake, I am aware that this entire Scorpio cycle is ruled by energy that is strong, deep and often times submerging. Fit all things together, the power of the Full Moon, the beauty of the balance that Gemini can bring to us, and the wave of power Scorpio offers to us.

My personal pilgrimage from this Full Moon to the Winter Solstice is one of Blessing My Space; My Body, that is. I am seeking to transform what I think and how I respond to my body as a space that houses my soul. If I were to see her as a domicile or a structure, how would I clean, adorn, treat, and revere her. Only with this shift of thought will I move closer to some of my spiritual aspirations, which by the way are directly related to the treatment of my personal temple.

A cycle, re-cycle, or no cycle?

In these chilling autumn days, take the time to truly appreciate the lessons we can all learn from nature. On a recent drive through the park I was humbled at the beauty, the continuity, the insistence of cycling. Nothing grandiose or brazen, just plain and simple; its time. During this Scorpio Lunar Cycle that is upon us, ruled by the mystical powers of Pluto, use our energies to think of ourselves as the proverbial leaf, waiting, entering, or leaving that eventual cycle that goes from bud on a branch, to delectably green shaped vegetation, to boldly Fall color, and finally a decomposed and reusable portion of the earth. As we know Pluto is a planet full of power and mystery, but let’s de-mystify for ourselves. Decide where you are at? Do you need to change to another spot on the branch? Do you need to maybe sit this cycle of growth out for transmutative work, another gift Pluto offers, transmutation that is.

We couldn’t ask for a better set of circumstances, the beginning of a lunar cycle, the ability to question our personal cycle, and the beauty of fall’s foliage to remind us daily of the cycles all around us. My own focus this cycle will be on clearing for what is to come, physically, spiritually, Goddess-ly. I have a feeling big things will be expected of me soon and well, I must be ready when the shining light comes. In order to do that, my *ish needs to be in order. So my intent this cycle is to clear, whether that means fasting, giving things away, or deep replenishing breaths. To all, I must clear.

As we pass on to another point in this ever gifting Taurus Lunar journey, we make a stop at a Full Moon. A Full Moon is a peak time to work power, and not power in an external sense, but power internally, a place we shy away from for various reasons. Full Moons can be seen as Ripeness. During Full Moons there is increase in all sorts of energies and things occurring. We have often heard folklore tell of the “wildness” of Full Moons, well I propose it is the climaxing of the cycle, so get ready....

This full moon has the pleasure of falling at the beginning of the retrograde for mercury, the first in this lunar year. All forms of communication are going to be off kilter. To say the least! Snail mail, email, cell fone, home fone, speaking to others, speaking to yourself, and don't even think of signing a contract or wonder why negotiations are not going well. W can not put life off during the retrogrades, but forewarning will help ya navigate through it.

This Full Moon is ruled by Scorpio, a sign that can present itself in very diverse ways. There may be an urge to go to a place of passion, whether that be anger, love, lust or confusion. Another urge could be subtlety, maybe we need to be more sedate and behind the scenes. Or even still, we may want to really consider severance work. Who or what is in our life that we need a clean break from, hell, it might be a part of yourself you have no more need for. Pluto, Scorpio’s ruling planet, is one of Transmutation, Transformation and Reconstruction. So get ready for energy to move you in one direction or another. And please, do not think you can sit this one out. If you do not actively move in a direction you choose, believe me, you will be moved and maybe to a place you weren’t quite ready to visit.
