Making Magic out of Mist...

We are in this the waning of the moon. Do you feel it? I hope you do. The power of the waning moon rests in its ability to remove things from our lives we are willing to let go. I know, I have said this before, but I am here to tell you, I must constantly reiterate these things to myself. And while we are letting go of things we don't want, we're making room for things we do want.

Our waning phase this time is in Virgo, which is ruled by that ever playful, ever talking, ever bringing the balance: Mercury. While Virgo gifts us with organization, purpose and friendship, Mercury sprinkles onto our paths things like self knowledge in the trickiest of ways, an increase in our mental acuity, and a heightened Solar Plexus (our intuition). So know that tasks are coming our way, but be alert it will come in the funniest of ways. Just go with the flow and join in the laughter, its okay because at the end of it all there is evolution.

My own journeying this waning cycle is pyschic protection and not a paranoid, "they puttin' roots on me" kind of protection. But rather, really preparing myself to experience life with others without absorbing their energy, their path, their tasks. And ultimately develop more completely my safe inner space.

This entry is overdue on one calendar and right on time for another. As I walked yesterday and looked up at the crisp branches, without a leaf on them, I was reminded once again that bareness brings about amazing new growth. Let me say that again, bareness brings about amazing new growth. Alright, let’s put some perspective on that. In this the last few weeks of Autumn and as we approach the Winter Solstice, how appropriate that we ourselves have become those trees, stripped of many things that we just knew were true about ourselves. And, how this rawness makes us ready for a completely new self. In essence, as the Winter season brings back the light to the world, which is what the solstice represents, then we too should also focus on standing tall in what seems like darkness, accept all that we know of ourselves, then prepare for real changes in the coming weeks. And this is brought to us by the planetary giant, Jupiter, which rules fair Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a a time of determination, clarification and revelation. What better partners for us at the close of this cycle.

My personal focus is on being determined to be that new creation, calming into the darkness and knowing there are great gifts waiting for me and not the tangible gifts I can touch or see. I am committed to do what I need to do for me, boldly, singularly, and all the while understanding that I, just like the cycle of a tree, am in a process and I will not disturb that mechanism. In other words, getting in my way is not an option.

Pluto-ers more than meets the eye...Actualized in disguise

As we journey during this ever changing Autumn, let us pause to step inward. Are we ready to take that final step to the next level? Can it really be that time already to depart with who we are now? Do we understand the massiveness of all that is occurring around us? Those are for each of us to answer. Only thing I know is that we have are tippy toes pressed up against the edge of a Scorpio Lunar Cycle, which in the most surface of ways is an extra dash of passion. Subcutaneously, we are talking transforming that brings to mind the vehicles of the 1980’s cartoon Transformers. That’s right, taking what we have presently and making a whole brand new us. And what better planet to help us navigate then the illustrious Pluto. More than just a Disney character dog.

Pluto waits patiently and without judgment. We are calling the shots, the "Plutonian" energy is our tool. Decide. Step. Move. And any other active action verb you can think of. The best thing about Pluto is it brings about change, the worse thing about Pluto is it brings about change. So no half stepping or give backs. We have been gifted with an entire cycle to work through this energy so now at the beginning figure your focus and see it through to the end. Within this cycle is the family centered Thanksgiving, which I am sure will bring out some boxes for some of us to step out of (hopefully).

My focus this cycle is to stand clear and let transformation occur, not what my human centered mind can conceive, but what is actually supposed to be. My life is in a state of reconstruction, in all areas, I must see beyond what I can see now.

Students Teach, Teachers Learn

We have arrived once again to that magnificent, budding, spring of the lunar cycle. That’s right we are within the Waxing Phase. This time is full of windows and doors that both represent opportunities for us. As we do in early spring, step out into the somewhat misty dew and breath in full breaths, then proceed into this cycle, fully charged, fully aware and ready to receive.

As we are meander through this Libra led cycle let us stop to smell from the blossom of Capricorn and its ruler Saturn. Yes, the wise teacher has returned to bestow upon us another amazing lesson. Pay attention to the role we all play as teacher and student, knowing that each role is forever fused into us. As a teacher we can always learn from those we teach. And, as a student we have lessons for our teachers. This cyclical understanding makes for a more complete life experience.

My focus has been on understanding the meaning and totality of attraction, so during this cycle I want recognize and rectify any outstanding patterns whether they be of my own doing or something that may be a part of my ancestral blueprint. I challenge myself to pull unto me the true lessons that I need to move forward.

Blessings are all around us. I saw it just this morning in the prism on the tip of a blade of grass. And that beautiful light was what? A reflection. The beauty and loveliness that is life is a reflection of where we are currently. So in this New Moon time, during Libra, understand the role we play in acquiring that which we attract. Take stock of things in all facets of your life, then identify things that are not as you wish them to be and then just begin to attract something different. As the title tells you, its Reflection Time not Retraction Time. Use your divine energies to be what you are looking for, whether it be a lover, a new job, physical fitness, or a beacon of light. We have the power in every quark of our being. So, just the tap that power.

Yes!!! I know. Sounds like big orders, but guess who is right there with us? The sweetness of Venus, the ruler of Libra. Grace, peace, and gentleness can be with us all the while as we transform all situations into amazingly beautiful experiences. We are just at the beginning of a new cycle so I challenge each of us to focus our superbly capable powers towards being the reflection. No longer are we to wait to see what someone will give to us, how they will react to us, or even what their replies are. We are to step forward and shine our gorgeous light upon the world, even if its one small thing at a time.

My focus this entire lunar cycle will be on exploring the many dimensions of Attraction. What is it? What is it not? What do I need to be (uh, that reflection piece)? And more importantly, once I have embraced that ability what does the aftermath of attracting into my life look like. So, take five deep breaths, really ask for a task this cycle, then await miracles.

Well Mercury in Waning is nice we are doing it twice. That’s right this waning lunar phase is once again ruled by that most auspicious Planet Mercury, through the sign of Gemini. If you are feeling like things are spinning at the speed of light, yet getting anything done happens in slow motion, welcome to the crossroads my dear ones. That’s right the burgeoning retrograde, Autumnal Equinox and the waning phase all intersect at the able feet of dear Mercury.

So what does all of this mean, well, for starters, take small steps. Do not fear if things are slowed down in the next few weeks or so, that is a blessing in disguise. Use the time you have been gifted to empower yourself and subsequently this planet. The planet Mercury will enter retrograde in the next few day so, be aware of its energy. Take your cues from the inside and observe the art of communication, knowing full well at any minute that is can get all topsy-turvy and you know what, just deal with it. Laugh it off, learn from it, or rise above it. It’s not the end, by no means, its the beginning of a new you who can soar even when communication with everything has the potential to be skewed.

Now, the Autumnal Equinox, quite possibly one of my favorite times of the year is such an opportunity to do so many things. For starters it represents the balance between the day and night, that’s right the balance of masculine and feminine energy on the planet. Revel in that folks, this happens only twice a year. What a time to put down the struggle and embrace the peace that is ultimately available to us all. Finally, think balance on this day and it shall be yours, in all aspects of your life.

Of course both of these events or should I say doorways rest in the middle of the moon’s waning phase, a time that is more than the dawning of the phase, but also another chance to put forth all the things you have since learned this cycle. My own focus this waning will be to continue transforming my roots in order to truly heal, learn, and progress. Sounds simple right, HA!!!! It is right in my face, so I know its obtainable, but I say to you all, what you need is staring you right in your face, so much so you may be missing it. Focus on the obviously forgotten.

The Hidden...The Hider...The Hiding

The depths of the hidden which we are willing to uncover correlate directly to the treasures we will unearth this cycle. Welcome to the realm of the Dancer, that’s right, this Full Moon in the Virgo Cycle will be a reflection of all of our energy manifested in our flexibility, coordination, endurance, rhythm, and grace. This Piscean Full Moon is blessed by the planet Neptune, one that many of us run from, but eventually we face its lessons sooner or later. Neptune offers the greatest reward, knowledge. Knowledge that may have been hidden from us, but at this exact point, we can access. Be the astute dancer, push through these deep waters, face the call of the universe for yourself at this time.

My focus during this time is to prepare myself for the messages I know the waters of Neptune have for me as well as prepare myself for the coming Autumnal Equinox, which is a flux in the energy on the planet. I am hoping to face my fears, internal and external, knowing full well that they are surmountable and only own me when I deny them and then allow myself to be held captive by them.
